The people behind this project
Project & Design Lead
Jakub Linowski. Hello. I'm a UI & interaction designer with some web development background and I began giving rise to this project in early 2008. It then turned into a graduate project, and now I overlook the whole thing, as well as do interface design and front end development.
Contributors
The poeple who have touched and contributed to this project in one way or another are listed in various places. There are a few redmine members and also the GitHub members who have forked and often contributed code. The people below are ones which have been helping out on a more regular basis (please remind me to update):
- Alex Barger. With a strong background in web development, Linux, PHP and MySQL, Alex joined in and took up the challange of handling fluidIA's file storage (saving, loading, save as URL, etc.). He's leading the server side architecture and backend coding initiatives.
- Chris Thatcher. Chris knows Javascript and jQuery inside out. He jumped in on the project with an interest of exploring the integration of fluidIA and his own Javascript library, Claypool, as a mean of allowing the object toggle feature. Chris also started refactoring the code.
- Liviu Susanu. Liviu is a front end web developer running a company called Artmov (PSD to HTML) and helping out with CSS optimization.
- Mike Eng. Mike is a designer and just recently joined in and began helping with the user interface. He kicked off by creating some alternative ideas to the experience threads feature.
- Pauric O'Callaghan. Pauric is an experienced UI Designer (who leads Boston IXDA) and has been working with me on generating and critiquing the UI.
Want to help out?
There is still lots of room to fill. As much as I enjoy doing this project, I think fluidIA could benefit from others jumping on board. As part of the experimental open design process, fluidIA is open toward various degrees of contribution. Simple contributions may range from basic feature requests to comments on emerging idea sketches. More extensive contributions in the form of sketches or code are also very much welcome. If you would like to become more involved with the project as a designer or developer I would love to hear from you.
